Folks, this one’s gonna be fun. Next Thursday, December 22, we’ll be at Johnny Brenda’s for Keep the Change, Ya Filthy Animal: A Yuletide Variety Show.  It’s the annual Christmas/comedy shindig hosted by our buds in Secret Pants, and we’re on the bill along with the Feeko Brothers, Chip Chantry, Local Holiday Miracle, Mike Rainey, The Aime and Kristen Show, and more.

We’ll be debuting a few brand-new Christmas sketches, as well as the world premiere of the soon-to-be-ubiquitous “Santa’s Virtual Sleigh,” a Christmas song written by Roger C. Snair and our very own Sam Narisi, and performed by Sam and Billy Bob Thompson. You don’t want to miss this.

First off, a big ol’ kiss on the mouth to everybody who came out to the first-ever CAMP WOODS PLUS last night. We had a blast, and Local Holiday Miracle and Aaron Hertzog were both fantastic. Stay tuned for details about the January show.

In other happenings, we’ve been nominated for the 2011 WitOut Award for Best Sketch Group, and “Eduardo da Crab,” “Sick Door,” and “Space Shuttle Endeavour” have each been nominated for Best Sketch. Head on over to WitOut and give us a vote — remember, we’re The Group That Loves Ya Back (TM). While you’re there, be sure to vote for Brendan (Best Stand-Up), Rob (Best Host — TV Party), Billy (Best Improv Group — ZaoGao), JP (Best Improv Group — Medic), and Hate Speech Committee. Lastly, we were informed this week that we’ve been selected to perform in the Chicago Sketchfest and the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival, and that’s the bee’s motherfucking meow.

We’re really excited for this, guys. Tonight, we unveil the first of what we hope will be a very long line of great shows — the debut of CAMP WOODS PLUS at the upstairs bar at L’Etage. CAMP WOODS PLUS, which we’ll host monthly, will feature one local sketch group, one out-of-town act, and a brand-new set from us. This month, you’ll see Philly duo Local Holiday Miracle, New York’s Murderfist, and, of course, the gorgeous rapscallions you’ve come to fear and revere, Camp Woods.

Trust us, this show is going to be great. Local Holiday Mircale is an offbeat and hilarious pair of sketch ladies who have really come into their own in the two years they’ve been together. Murderfist won the Village Voice’s ECNY Award for Best Sketch Comedy Group in New York in 2010. We saw their set at the Boston Improv Festival and they blew our skulls open.

Seriously. We’re going to say this one more time: You will not regret coming to this show.
